The kitchen is the heart of a home. So whether you are remodeling an outdated kitchen or planning to create your dream kitchen in a new home, you need the services of a professional to guide you through the complicated process. But not every kitchen project has the same demands. Some homeowners may have a trusted contractor and only need the services of an interior designer to put together a beautiful and functional space. For others, a design/build firm is the ideal one-stop-shop to find comprehensive design and construction services from start to finish. And still other kitchen projects may benefit from the services of cabinetry specialists with an in-house design team.
Although these companies offer a range of services based on the extent of planning and work necessary, what they all have in common is that their designers have the ability to create highly customized kitchens that reflect not only a client’s aesthetic tastes but a careful understanding of how homeowners will interact with the space. Their decades of experience in the kitchen industry have helped them understand how individuals move within and use kitchens in different ways. The result of this knowledge, combined with access to the finest quality products and craftsmen, allow them to create rooms that are highly-functional and incredibly beautiful.
The companies on this list do more than just sell you the appliances or cabinets to put in your kitchen or give you generic plans. Rather, these kitchen remodeling companies provide comprehensive design services to make dream kitchens a reality.
Kitchen Remodeling Companies
A design/build firm will not only work with you to design a kitchen according to your wants and needs, but you’ll get the added benefit of them being the same people who will be in your home implementing those designs. These companies are both contractors and designers. They will design the cabinets for your kitchen, of course, but also help you decide on counters, backsplash, color coordination, appliances, paints, flooring, and more. As builders, they have the knowledge and ability to help you move your kitchen across the home, tear down walls to create an open concept space, or bring the room down to the studs and start from scratch. They have developed relationships with suppliers, craftsmen, and other industry professionals that help them offer any range of options at the best prices. And by using the same team to design and build your kitchen, chances are you’ll save money and have a shorter timeline than by going through multiple people or companies.
With total control over a project from beginning to end, these 5 Design/Build firms have rightfully earned the reputation of being the top choices for kitchen design in the Bay Area.
